Cinema on Wheels is a mobile open-air cinema unit traveling to areas of southern Greece (Dodecanese, Crete and Peloponnese) that do not have summer open-air cinemas.

In each location visited in the framework of this project, the partners install a temporary but fully functional open-air cinema with a 2K digital projector, screen, Dolby SR sound, individual seats and a mobile canteen, all of which is removed at the end of the screening period.

A program of 10 to 12 films is shown during the 3 to 6 days in each of the visited places. The program includes 2 Greek films, 3 films for children and young audiences, and 5 to 7 other films from different European countries.

The itinerary starts on the island of Lipsi and continues on the islands of Symi, Tilos, Halki, Nisyros, Karpathos, Kasos, Crete (Sitia or Kastelli) and Kythira, Elafonisos, Monemvasia and Gythio.
